A Report On Mock Interpreting Of Liangzi Interview(Excerpts)

Liangzi Interview is an online interview program.It vividly shows the young people of this era through in-depth interviews.At present,it is one of the most influential online interview programs in China,with tens of millions of fans.This report excerpts three interviews,with a total length of about 55 minutes.The language of the interview program is generally loose,not strictly logical,very colloquial,and involves a large number of emotional expressions and euphemistic expressions in Chinese.Due to these factors,interpreters have accumulated a large number of materials with fuzzy information.In the process of interpreting,due to a large amount of fuzzy information,it is difficult for the interpreter to understand the text clearly and smoothly.After in-depth analysis and combine many scholars’ definitions of fuzzy information,the interpreter divides the reasons for the difficulty in interpreting fuzzy information into three categories: logic confusion,fragmented sentences and overgeneralization.In this practice report,the interpreter selects Relevance Theory as the guiding theory of interpreting practice.Under the guidance of this theory,in order to solve the difficulties mentioned above,first of all,the interpreter adopts the strategy of amplification and conversion,adding words and conjunctions appropriately;Secondly,the interpreter uses inversion to better conform to Chinese expression habits;Finally,the interpreter uses the omission and summarization to simplify the text and improve the quality.Through this interpreting practice report,the interpreter hopes to provide some strategies to make the interpreting practice easier to understand and accept by the target audience,and provide relevant ideas for interpreting learners.In addition,the interpreter also finds some problems and limitations in the process of interpreting,and puts forward suggestions for future scholars.
