Auguste Rodin was a French realistic sculptor in the 19 th century.His sculpture works are realistic,literary and ideological.To some extent,Rodin’s artistic and aesthetic ideas are groundbreaking.He broke the inherent aesthetic thought of the academic school and laid the foundation for the development of modern aesthetic thought.Rodin believes that it is very important for artists to have the ability of critical thinking and should treat things dialectically.In his creation,he emphasized that he should be loyal to the inner truth of things and truly reproduce the essence of things.That is the unity of "truth","goodness" and "beauty".His book "On Art" perfectly explains his aesthetic thoughts,and its contents are educational.It can be said that this book is also an important document of modern aesthetic education theory.With the popularization of aesthetic education in today’s society,people begin to attach importance to the important role of aesthetic education thought in the overall development of students.Exploring the educational nature of Rodin’s aesthetic thought will help aesthetic educators better understand the significance of art education.This paper uses the methods of literature research and case analysis to sort out and analyze his unique aesthetic education thoughts.The article starts from four chapters.First,explore the formation of Rodin’s aesthetic thought,and understand the transformation and true meaning of Rodin’s thought formation;Secondly,through a systematic and comprehensive analysis of the aesthetic content of Rodin’s "On Art",we can establish the important aesthetic connotation of Rodin and explore its educational significance;Thirdly,confirm classic cases,analyze and explore the expression of Rodin’s aesthetic thoughts in his works;Finally,after a thorough study of Rodin’s aesthetic thought and its education,this paper discusses the important value of his aesthetic education thought for the development of contemporary aesthetic education and the promotion of students’ comprehensive quality.At present,the domestic research on the aesthetic education thought in Rodin’s On Art is limited,and its content still has important research value for today’s aesthetic education work.This paper systematically analyzes Rodin’s aesthetic education thought,and points out its important education.Through the research of its content,it constantly promotes the renewal and improvement of the current aesthetic education theory,method and thought,making the theory more suitable for the needs of the times,and has important theoretical and practical value for promoting the development of contemporary aesthetic education thought,improving students’ comprehensive aesthetic quality and healthy personality.Therefore,the study of Rodin’s aesthetic education thought in this paper can provide some valuable reference examples for the better development of contemporary aesthetic education thought,and put forward a new thinking direction for the development of contemporary aesthetic education.
