Rodin has always been known as a great sculptor in France,and has a lot of shocking sculptures,such as The Gate of Hell,The Thinker,The Kiss,and so on.France’s Paris-Rodin Museum preserves some of Rodin’s little-known paintings other than sculpture —— more than 4,000 sketches and watercolors.These paintings are all created with great passion and energy in the 30 years of Rodin’s life,and the Rodin Museum shows the charm of Rodin’s painting to the world.These works fully prove Rodin’s respect for nature and artistic truth,and show the other side of Rodin’s amazing talent of art.A large number of concise and powerful sketches and watercolor characters in their form is free and unique.In watercolor creation,Rodin has the courage to break away from the traditional realistic watercolor creation,seek bold,comfortable and free artistic expression forms,inadvertently capture the unique dynamics of the human body,quickly and naturally express the characteristics of watercolor paint dizzy flow,subjective intention to create a full of life and dynamic mood.This paper is mainly divided into four parts,six chapters to analyze,explain and summarize.The first part is mainly the first chapter of the paper,the background,purpose,significance,research content of the preliminary formulation and research,emphasizing the special significance of Rodin water mark in watercolor art.The second part analyzes the formation and change of Rodin art horizon.The third part shows how Rodin uses the water mark feeling of watercolor to express the female human body,the mysterious dancer and the situation painting related to the water,as well as the influence of the advanced aesthetic art thought and the simple but rich trace expression technique on the later art.The fourth part is to explain how to apply the water mark painting expression form of rhodan figure painting to the individual art creation,to create the partial abstract geometric landscape artistic conception,so as to liberate the chance of geometric scenery in memory with water mark language and present different visual effects and feelings.The whole thesis focuses on the analysis of water mark painting in Rodin’s characters and personal art creation,and highlights the significance of water mark painting as a unique form of expression.
