Research On Anti-Poverty Narratives In Contemporary Chinese Literature (2013-2021

The research object of this paper is the anti poverty narrative of contemporary Chinese literature,which is an anti poverty narrative after the introduction of the targeted poverty alleviation policy.This article takes rural narratives after 2013 as the research object,with the intention of taking a macro and holistic research perspective on the creation of a group of writers who engaged in anti poverty narrative during this period,To examine how literature reflects poverty in its special way at the present time,and to observe the production mechanism of contemporary literature and the inner psychological structure of writers.Taking the study of anti poverty literary works as a starting point,we will pursue how writers have a dialogue with the times and history through literary creation.This article believes that the anti poverty narrative in this period is an organized anti poverty narrative.With the establishment of the contemporary literary system,the guidance of national will and policies on literary and artistic creation has become more direct.The introduction of the targeted poverty alleviation policy has promoted the focus of literature on anti poverty,and the literary and artistic circles have given a positive response.The Chinese Writers Association has taken various ways(such as support for key topics,incentives for award mechanisms,etc.)to guide and stimulate writers’ anti poverty narrative creation.This article believes that the internal narrative structure of anti poverty narrative is different from the previous rural narrative.The narrative of the story generally follows the framework of poverty poverty alleviation and prosperity,which can be summarized as a narrative structure of backwardness production advancement.This expression of "replacing old land with new faces" highlights the huge contrast between the past and the present in impoverished villages.The description of rural life in the works of this period is different from the enlightening and elegiac rural writing of intellectuals since the May 4th Movement,which mainly displays the people’s desire for a happy life;It does not take the city as a perspective to overlook the countryside and criticize the ignorance of farmers,but rather takes a grand narrative approach to viewing the countryside.This article believes that this internal psychological structure of writers who write anti poverty narratives was largely formed after the Yan’an Literature and Art Symposium.The writers intervened in society,paid attention to society,abandoned the academic attitude of "going deep into life",and completed the observation of poverty and anti poverty with a "intrusive" and "present" attitude,with a new way of writing rural areas.It can be said that this contemporary anti poverty precisely enables literature and writers to complete the role of "historical writer and recorder".This anti poverty narrative is the author’s "recapture" of the spiritual tradition of intervening and caring about society in the new context of contemporary China.
