Since the new century,the interaction between city and space is relatively close.As a media form,film should speak for the image of the city,and the city has constantly become the object of the film.Urbanization images are constantly entering the audience’s life.In the audience’s cognition,the images of Beijing and Shanghai are the most familiar,while the images of Chongqing,a mountain city deep inland,are somewhat rare.With the accelerated process of urbanization and the rapid development of economy,Chongqing has taken on a new look and become a new metropolis in the 21 st century.This modern and traditional metropolis has attracted many filmmakers to take pictures here,which has given birth to a film shooting style different from Shanghai alley and Beijing old alley.Image is an important carrier of urban cultural communication.Through the combination of film text,we can perceive the changes of character class,cultural exchange,urban style and temperament in the process of rapid urban development in Chongqing,so as to supplement and complete the changes of Urban Imagination in mainland films since the new century.Based on the "three dimensional dialectics of space" and combined with the study of film text,this paper analyzes the image construction and cultural temperament of Chongqing’s material space,spiritual space and social space.The article is divided into five chapters.The first chapter introduces Lefebvre’s "spatial ternary dialectics" theory,discriminates the difference between "space" and "social space",compares the "spatial ternary theory" with the landscape in Chongqing images,and analyzes the representative Chongqing element symbols.The second chapter,material space corresponds to "space practice",analyzes the unique image perspective of Chongqing caused by the particularity of Chongqing’s geographical environment,and expounds the progress of practical activities in material space.The third chapter,the spiritual space corresponds to "spatial representation".The spiritual and cultural expression of the city is actually the expression of social culture and humanistic personality emotion,and analyzes the unique culture of Chongqing and the emotional tendency of the characters in the image;The fourth chapter,social space corresponds to "representational space",which conveys the carnival and confusion of the city’s emotion by analyzing the life atmosphere of different classes of characters and the venting of the characters’ emotion to the city;The fifth chapter analyzes the problems of image expression for Chongqing city and the enlightenment for the display of Chongqing image in the future.By studying Chongqing images and interpreting the interactive relationship between city and film,it is of great significance to spread and construct Chongqing Regional Culture and show the urban temperament.At the same time,it also adds a new perspective and dimension to enrich the regional research of Chinese film.
