The puppet Great People’s Association is the Japanese army in 1938 in the occupied areas of central China relying on the puppet reform regime to support the establishment,specializing in slavery propaganda of the traitors organization,its scope of activities mainly involved in the three provinces of Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Anhui and Shanghai and Nanjing two cities in the occupied areas,and deep penetration of these areas of the social,economic,ideological and other fields.Modeled after the Concord Association and the New People’s Association,the puppet Grand People’s Association was divided into two parts: the central government set up four organs,namely the Department of Supervision,the headquarters,the central Committee,and the special committee,and the local government set up joint branch,branch,and special committee.The activities of the puppet Society were mainly divided into two parts.In the early stage,it was mainly engaged in slavish propaganda activities,including "Building a New Order in East Asia Movement","Village Protection Movement","Clean movement",etc.In the later period,after the reorganization of the puppet society,it called itself a "pure people’s group" and began to engage in some daily social relief activities,mainly including "Winter Relief Tour" and "small capital lending house".Such social relief activities are extremely deceptive,mainly to cover up the nature of the Japanese invasion of China.Although the puppet Democratic Association repeatedly proclaimed itself as a "people’s group" to seek happiness for the people,its fundamental purpose was still to serve the Japanese invasion of China,and it could not really solve the plight of the Chinese people.By comparing the "Puppet Society" with the "Union Society" and the "New People’s Society",there are both similarities and differences among them.The investigation of the changes and activities of the "Puppet Society" is helpful to have a more comprehensive and intuitive understanding of the slavish organs established by Japan in China during the Anti-Japanese War.At the same time,we can further understand how the puppet Grand People’s Association carried out servile propaganda and colonial penetration on the Chinese people,so as to further enrich and expand the study of anti-war history.
