resisting America and aiding Korea,New China Pictorial,represented by People’s Pictorial,Serial Pictorial and Northeast Pictorial,became an important tool for policy propaganda,public opinion guidance and public mobilization by the state.Pictorial depicts visual political narrative with images,starts the image publicity war of public opinion,and serves the wartime propaganda."People’s Illustrated" latter is an art pictorial newspaper,which takes popular comic strips as the main content,which is humorous and suitable for all ages.Comic strips are often closely combined with political situations to publicize the thoughts and policies of the Communist Party of China.Northeast Pictorial,based in Northeast China,is the oldest and longest-lived pictorial in the liberated areas.It reflects the politics,economy and society of Northeast China with distinct local characteristics.The three pictorial newspapers in the period of resisting America and aiding Korea(1950-1953)have always maintained a stable serialization,providing complete and rich image data,pictorial maintains the pace consistent with the central policy,the published images almost cover the theme,types and characteristics of all the images in the period of Resisting America and aiding Korea,with the representative,symbolic and exemplary characteristics of image propaganda at that time.As the historical relics,the pictorial images record the historical context and reflect the theme of The Times and the historical style of resisting America and aiding the Dynasty.Besides historical retention,pictorial propaganda presented by People’s Illustrated,Serial Illustrated and Northeast Illustrated in the period of anti-American and aid to the Dynasty.It combines the "paradigm" of historical research with the theory and experience of other disciplines to broaden and deepen the investigation of different image types,and analyzes the historical background,thematic significance,artistic characteristics and
