This study used a comprehensive research approach to explore vocal performance anxiety with the aim of proposing new treatment options to alleviate vocal performance anxiety.First,a systematic evaluation of the literature on music performance anxiety interventions was conducted using meta-analysis;second,semi-structured interviews were conducted with 16 undergraduate students in the Department of Music Education at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music using descriptive phenomenological research methods to analyze,summarize,and distill the manifestations and possible causes of vocal performance anxiety in undergraduate students;finally,an adaptive training program was constructed based on the results of these two studies combined with improvised music therapy and virtual exposure therapy.Finally,based on the results of these two studies,the adaptive training program was constructed by combining improvised music therapy and virtual exposure therapy,and a randomized controlled trial was used to study undergraduate students’vocal performance anxiety,and the effects of the program on alleviating undergraduate students’vocal performance anxiety were examined by analyzing relevant psychological scale indicators,heart rate variability,and EEG indicators.It is hoped that this study will provide a clinical basis for future research exploring the alleviation of vocal performance anxiety.
