| The report is based on the consecutive interpreting of enterprises roadshow at China-Israel Enterprises Cooperation Conference(ECC).The conference is aimed at promoting cooperation between China and Israel through the publicity and promotion of advanced methods and experience in wind energy,hydrogen power,photovoltaic power generation,and solar energy,etc.of Israeli enterprises.Under the guidance of Gile’s Effort Model and Comprehension Equation,the interpreter made preparations from linguistic and extralinguistic levels,and deployed effective strategies during interpreting to complete the task smoothly.The report consists of five chapters.The first chapter is task description,mainly introducing the task background,task requirements and features of original speeches.The second chapter briefly describes the interpreting process,including preparations,interpreting as well as assessment and self-reflection.The third chapter gives an overview of Gile’s Effort Model and Comprehension Equation.The fourth chapter is the main body of the report,primarily analyzing the strategies deployed in listening and analysis,short-term memory,note-taking and target-language production through typical examples on the basis of Gile’s theory.The fifth chapter summarizes gains from the task and insufficiencies needed to be improved further,in hoping that the suggestions put forward from the interpreting practice can give a hand to other interpreters to complete relevant interpreting tasks. |
