| Contemporary Chinese Literature course is an important part of Chinese language learning for international students.By taking this course,students can enhance their understanding of the Chinese language,promote their knowledge of Chinese culture,reduce communication barriers and better adapt to their study and life in China.The traditional teaching of Chinese literature to foreign students also has many problems,students’ understanding of Chinese language and literature is biased,and they cannot build a complete framework of literary knowledge.Theme-based teaching takes "theme" as the core element,and develops the shortcomings of a highly contextualized and life-like explanation of the theme.Thematic teaching emphasizes integration,which helps students build and reserve literary knowledge.Teachers help students form a chain of literary knowledge related to the theme,improve students’ ability to input independently,and cultivate students’ sense of literary commonality.Therefore,this study intends to take the fourth-year international students of Chinese language in Shanghai Normal University as the teaching object,and try to apply theme-based teaching to the online course of modern and contemporary literature for international students for teaching design and practice,that is,to change the traditional teaching mode of selecting titles of modern and contemporary Chinese literature in chronological order,and to select representative literary works in the history of modern and contemporary Chinese literature according to different themes for classroom teaching activities,and In this study,students will study and discuss another foreign literary work of the same theme as a comparative reading text.The study will comprehensively design the curriculum,teaching objectives,teaching links,teaching methods,and assessment of learning effects of modern and contemporary literature for international students,and through the multi-dimensional design of the above links,from the superficial to the deep,from the surface to the inside,to enrich international students’ knowledge of Chinese literature,deepen their understanding of modern and contemporary Chinese literature and Chinese society reflected by it,improve their literary appreciation ability,cultivate their cross-cultural comparison ability,and broaden their understanding of Chinese literature.The course is designed to enrich international students’ knowledge of Chinese literature,deepen their understanding of contemporary Chinese literature and its reflection of Chinese society,improve their literary appreciation ability,cultivate their cross-cultural comparison ability,and broaden their international perspective.The first chapter of this paper is an introduction.On the basis of extensive literature reading,the research results at home and abroad are summarized,including the achievements and shortcomings in curriculum construction,teaching materials and teaching methods of teaching contemporary literature for international students,the definition and connotation of theme-based teaching,and the current status of research on online Chinese language teaching.The second chapter presents the theoretical basis and empirical research on the application of theme-based teaching to the online classroom of contemporary literature for international students.The theoretical basis and concept of theme-based teaching are analyzed in the context of the syllabus of the course on contemporary Chinese literature for international students,and the feasibility and advantages of theme-based teaching in the course on contemporary Chinese literature are argued;the empirical research analyzes the selection of titles in four literature textbooks and four comprehensive Chinese textbooks,and the teaching contents of the course on contemporary Chinese literature under theme-based teaching are formulated by combining the results of the survey on learners’ interests.The third chapter is the general design of the third chapter on the application of theme-based teaching to the online classroom of contemporary Chinese literature for international students.Based on the questionnaire of international students about the needs of the course of Chinese contemporary literature,we analyze in detail the teaching targets,teaching objectives,teaching methods,teaching contents and steps,and make a general teaching design for the course contents.The forth chapter shows the teaching practice of theme-based teaching applied to the online classroom of contemporary Chinese literature for international students.The teaching practice is combined with several teaching methods such as cultural comparison method and task-based teaching method to guide students to understand the writing background and purpose of literary works,grasp the basic connotation and main idea of modern and contemporary literary works,and improve the literary appreciation ability.The students are guided to understand the background and purpose of literary works,master the basic connotation and main idea of contemporary literature,and enhance their literary appreciation and aesthetic ability.The teaching results are evaluated through teaching tests to explore the teaching effects of theme-based teaching;personal interviews are conducted to understand whether the teaching contents of theme-based teaching are more relevant and whether they can enhance students’ interest in learning.The fifth chapter is a reflection and suggestion on the application of theme-based teaching to the online classroom of contemporary literature for international students.Based on the results of the teaching test and the problems in the teaching,we propose suggestions for the application of theme-based teaching in the online classroom of modern and contemporary literature for international students.The sixth chapter for the conclusion,summarizing the content of the full text,analyzing the shortcomings of research design. |
