As a subcategory of adverb,correlative adverbs are often used in communication,and have its uniqueness,which leads to it being a difficult point in Chinese learing and teaching.We have found that the research results on correlative adverbs are more focused on the semantic and syntactic examination of individual adverbs,and less on the study of correlative adverbial errors.This paper aims to study the six correlative adverbs “hai,ye,jiu,zai,que,bian”,and the intermediate and advanced Chinese learners.Corpus and questionnaire are used to investigate the errors in the acquisition of correlative adverbs by Chinese learners at intermediate and advanced levels.Finally,according to the arrangement of correlative adverbs in the textbook and the errors of learners,some suggestions are put forward from the perspective of textbook compilation and teacher teaching.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which introduces the significance of the topic and the current status of the research,reviews the existing research results and theoretical foundations,and explains the scope of the research,research theories and the sources of the corpus.The second part mainly explores the features and usage of the acquisition of the correlative adverbs,including the grammatical characteristics of the correlative adverbs themselves,the differences and similarities between correlative adverbs and conjunctions,etc.The analysis of usage includes summarizing the semantic and syntactic features of the six correlative adverbs and analyzing them with the corpus of BCC and CCL.For example,it is difficult to distinguish correlative adverbs from other concurrent adverbs,the multifunction of correlative adverbs,the similarity of semantic relations in correlative adverbs and the complexity of its syntactic position.In the third part,In the third part,based on the HSK dynamic composition corpus and questionnaire,six corpus-based adverbs are collected and analyzed.After sorting out the comparative results of the two survey methods,the statistical results obtained are roughly the same.Therefore,it can be seen that there are more substitution errors and sequential errors in the six correlative adverbs used by Chinese learners,and fewer addition errors and omission errors.Furthermore,it is concluded that the degree of difficulty for learners to learn correlative adverbs is “hai > jiu > zai > que > bian >ye”.In the fourth part,based on the conclusions obtained in the previous chapters,aims to analyze the causes of the errors in the acquisition of the correlative adverbs by intermediate and advanced Chinese learners.We believe that these errors may be caused by the negative transfer of the native language,over-generalization of target language knowledge,learners’ avoidance strategies and improper textbook arrangement.Based on the above error reasons,we put forward some targeted suggestions,such as improving the importance of correlative adverbs in textbooks,improving text notes and example sentences,enriching question types for exercises after class and so on.In view of teachers’ teaching,it is also proposed to provide comparative scenes and focus on word meaning discrimination,Cultivate context awareness and build discourse thinking,Combine the characteristics of the discourse to enrich the teaching forms.The fifth part is conclusion,mainly is to summarize the full text,and carries on the reconsidering to the insufficiency which the text research process produces. |
