Dai Dingcheng is known as the first music theory doctor in the Mainland of China.He is currently a distinguished professor at the City University of Macao and a committee member of the Chinese Musicians’ Association.His extraordinary knowledge at Harmony in the Early Time of Europe is unparalleled to any within China,and his research on Keyboard Harmony also have numerous achievements.Dr.Dai has a rich experience in mentoring and teaching,and has a very open minded mindset when it comes to the way he teaches.Within my essay it is majorly about Dr.Dai’s understanding upon Keyboard Harmony,through researching his literature documentations,teaching achievements,and teaching content.My thesis is divided into 4 segments.Introduction,expresses Keyboard harmony’s fundamental theory and the development of its current status.First chapter would be the Dr.Dai’s theoretical system of Keyboard Harmony and his teaching achievements,through analyzing his works.The second chapter would be investigating on how he executes his theory into teaching contents to further inspire and educate fellow students.Chapter 3 is a combination of chapter 1 and 2,highlighting the advantages of Keyboard harmony’s teaching,furthermore emphasizing the inspiration it brings into day to day teaching,thus advocating Mainland educators a better understanding upon Music Harmony,enables them a more appropriate way to improve the teaching efficiency.
