Research On The Development And Utilization Of The Cultural Heritage Archives Of The Grand Canal In Yangzho

The Grand Canal is a worldwide cultural miracle created by the ancient working people of China.It has demonstrated a strong national centripetal force and cohesion during the long history of the Chinese nation,and has also promoted the economic,cultural and social development of ancient China.Since the successful inscription of the Grand Canal in China,many disciplines have explored the conservation,utilisation and development aspects of the canal from different perspectives,and although the archival community has also carried out related work,the results of its research have been relatively poorly displayed.This paper takes the development and utilization of the archives of the Grand Canal cultural heritage of the Yangzhou section as the entry point,and takes the comprehensive archives at all levels in Yangzhou and the China Grand Canal Museum as the main research objects,through literature research,field surveys and interviews.The paper includes the following six sections:The first part is the introduction,which mainly explains the background of selecting the topic for this study,the significance of the study,the current situation of domestic and international research,the content of the study,and the research ideas and methods.The second part,’Overview of the Grand Canal and Cultural Heritage Archives’,focuses on the concepts of the development and use of the archives of the Yangzhou section of the Grand Canal,defining the three concepts of the Grand Canal,cultural heritage archives and the archives of the Grand Canal,introducing the types and values of the archives of the Grand Canal and the significance of the development and use of the archives of the Yangzhou section of the Grand Canal.The third part elaborates on the current situation of the development and utilisation of the archives of the Grand Canal cultural heritage in Yangzhou,using field research and interviews to investigate the current situation of the development and utilisation of the archives of the Grand Canal cultural heritage in the collections of comprehensive archives at all levels in Yangzhou and the China Grand Canal Museum,followed by an analysis and summary of the findings of the development and utilisation of the archives of the Grand Canal cultural heritage in Yangzhou,and finally a further study of the development and utilisation of the China Grand Canal Museum in the form of a case study.The fourth part is the problem analysis part,based on the research and combined with the content of the interviews,the current problems in the development and utilization of the archives of the Yangzhou section of the Grand Canal cultural heritage are sorted out.The main problems at present are: inadequate guarantee mechanism and insufficient professional talent reserve;low integration and sharing of archives and slow digital development process;low importance attached to oral archives;insufficient depth of archives development and utilisation.The fifth part is "Countermeasures for the Development and Utilization of the Cultural Heritage Archives of the Yangzhou Section of the Grand Canal",which puts forward specific suggestions for the current problems in the development and utilization of the cultural heritage archives of the Yangzhou Section of the Grand Canal: 1improve the basic guarantee measures and strengthen the training of professional talents;build a multi-party collaborative mechanism and promote the digitization of archives;strengthen the development and utilization of oral archives;develop the canal archives resources in depth.The sixth part is the concluding section.It concludes and summarizes the whole text,points out the shortcomings of this paper,and hopes to provide a reference for the development and utilization of the archives of the Grand Canal cultural heritage.
