Research On The Narrative Strategy Of Sports Character Documentary

Since China proposed the “ sports power ” strategy in 1983,sports has become one of the symbolic undertakings of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.In the context of media convergence,sports as a culture,with ’ body-culture-spirit ’ as the communication logic,strive to achieve speed and strength,freedom and equality,group honor and other identity.The creators of the documentary as a realistic tool,emphasizing intuitive,real audio-visual art symbols for the audience to bring an immersive experience.It is of great significance to study the narrative mode of sports documentary,excavate valuable topics,and take the relationship between sports and characters as the main line to consider the construction of image and the expression of symbolic significance in social context.It is of great significance to tell sports stories,transfer sports spirit and promote the strategic realization of " sports power."This paper reviews the narrative characteristics and development process of sports documentary.Based on the relevant theories of narratology,it deconstructs the narrative methods of “ walking towards dreams ” in some domestic sports documentary and graduate works through text analysis and case analysis,and studies the characteristics and laws of different audio-visual text narrative methods.The study believes that the main narrative strategies of this type of documentary include four aspects : text connotation construction,multi-perspective combination,multi-dimensional structure combination and narrative rhythm.The connotation construction strategy aims to examine the interaction between ’sports-characters-culture-society ’,which is the core of the thickness of the work.The liquidity perspective integrates ’ objective reality ’ and ’ subjective expression ’ to increase the depth and breadth of the film;the multi-dimensional structure combination aims to solve the problems of group portrait characterization and direct narration.In the strategy construction of narrative rhythm,the creator intends to create a relaxed and moderate story rhythm from the ’ inside-outside-inside ’ way,and extend the space of the film to promote the ’ emotional resonance ’.Finally,in the summary and discussion part,the narrative strategy of the documentary to do a systematic comparative care,summarize how the narrative strategy affects the communication effect of sports documentary.The author hopes that this study can provide some reference for the research of sports documentary and feedback the creation of practical works.
