The thesis takes the two sets of textbooks,Chinese Intensive Reading Course and Boya Chinese,as the objects of study.It adopts the methods of corpus analysis,comparative study and quantitative analysis to study the vivid forms of adjectives,analyzes and compares the strengths and weaknesses of the two sets of textbooks,and puts forward its own opinions on the writing of the textbooks in the light of the biases of the vivid forms of adjectives that appear in international students.The thesis is divided into five chapters.This thesis is divided into four chapters.Chapter 1,the introductory section.It focuses on the purpose and significance of the chosen topic,an overview of the research results,and the research methodology,so as to set the stage for the study of this paper.Chapter 2,an examination and analysis of the vivid forms of adjectives in the syllabus and the two sets of textbooks.The vivid forms of adjectives in the International Chinese Language Education Standards are examined,and the requirements for Chinese learners to master the vivid forms of adjectives in the syllabus are analysed and compared with the Chinese Intensive Reading Course and BMLT to investigate whether the two sets of textbooks are written in accordance with the requirements of the syllabus.In addition,the thesis also examines and analyses in detail the content of the vivid forms of adjectives in the Chinese Intensive Reading Course and BMLT,and compares the specific content of the vivid forms of adjectives in these two sets of textbooks in order to find out the similarities,differences and shortcomings in the preparation of the two sets of textbooks.The third chapter examines and analyses the biases in the vivid forms of international students’ adjectives based on the corpus.The author examines,classifies and categorizes the biases of vivid forms of adjectives among international students in the global corpus of Chinese intermediary languages,and analyses in detail the causes of biases among international students.In addition,the relationship between the linguistic errors produced by Chinese learners and Chinese teaching materials for foreigners is also discussed.Chapter 4,Suggestions for the presentation of vivid forms of adjectives in the textbook.This section combines the content of Chapters 2 to 3 and offers suggestions for the layout of the textbook: it deals mainly with the cataloguing of vivid forms of adjectives in the vocabulary list,the explanation of language points and the setting of exercises.
