| Computer network technology has been widely used in human society, and software is almost filled with all walks of life in society. In order to improve the competitiveness of software in the market, software development is very important. However,in the development and construction of software projects nowadays, effort estimation is not paid enough attention in the process of project management, lacking the guidance of systematic scientific methods. Therefore, the overview of software effort estimation methods is of great reference value to software estimation practitioners in the selection of estimation methods.Taking the translation of software engineering academic papers as the research object, this report analyzes language features at the lexical, syntactic and textual levels guided by the Functionalist Approach,so as to summarize the translation methods applicable to corresponding features and improve the translation quality of software engineering texts.Academic papers belong to the category of English for science and technology, and their main purpose is to enable the target readers to receive the information conveyed by the source text without barrier. To realize the referential function of the source text, instrumental translation strategy is adopted to improve the readability of the target text. The results show that in terms of the translation of software engineering academic papers, terminologies, abbreviations and nominalization structures are often used in the source text at the lexical level, and corresponding translation methods should be selected according to the specific language characteristics of the source text to ensure the accuracy of the target text.At the syntactic level, language features are mainly the frequent use of passive and complex sentences. After analyzing the sentence structure, voice transformation and sequence recombination should be carried out in translation according to Chinese expression habits. At the textual level, the use of various cohesive and coherent devices makes the source text form an organic whole. In translation,it is necessary to adopt corresponding translation methods according to the logical relationship between sentences and paragraphs,so that each sentence in the translation is closely connected in terms of semantics and themes.Under the guidance of Nord’s Functionalist Approach, the author uses corresponding strategies and methods to highly reproduce the function of the source text in the process of translation. |
