Research And Reference On Artistic Language Of Ding Shaoguang Decorative Painting

Ding Shaoguang is one of the leading figures of contemporary decorative painting.His long-term study of Western art techniques and long-term foreign life have helped him possess a strong international vision.Furthermore,his long-term exploration of national culture has also assisted him to be more adept at analyzing things from the perspective of the nation,both of which have demonstrated in Ding’s creation process of artworks,thus forming his own unique artistic language.This article is divided into three chapters: the first chapter introduces the background,the research purpose and significance,the previous and present researches on Ding Shaoguang’s decorative art works,and the research methods and structural arrangements adopted in this paper;the second chapter first analyzes the background of Ding’s decorative painting creation and factors to influence his decorative painting style,and then analyzes the characteristics of Ding Shaoguang’s decorative painting artistic language with explorations for the artistic characteristics of his specific works in four aspects,namely material selection,modeling,color and composition;in the third chapter,the author has carried out her graduation creation with the essence of Ding’s decorative painting art language characteristics,and summarized the gains and shortcomings in the creative process.During her creation process,the author has borrowed the decorative elements and the techniques to display the personal emotions possessed in Mr.Ding’s works,thus more attention has been paid to the decorative charm of the picture and to the embodiment of her inner emotions.The study of the artistic language characteristics of Ding Shaoguang’s decorative paintings has offered a guideline for the performance of decorative elements in the author’s "Inheritance",a Chinese painting creation,in which both personal emotional color and uniqueness are well presented.Meanwhile,this study also has provided a new idea for the author’s subsequent artistic creation.The author also hopes she will better apply Mr.Ding’s decorative art language to her own artistic creation in the future to improve her own creative level.
