| Under the globalization background,with the rapid development of China’s educational undertakings,transnational educational exchanges are becoming more and more frequent.Meanwhile,education industry in China has encountered some problems and confusions while developing,and urgently needs solutions and coping strategies.Therefore,the translation of educational books for schools and families is increasingly playing an important role.In this context,the author translated The Playful Classroom: The Power of Play for All Ages.This book introduces how to build a playful mindset,how to create a playful educational environment,and provides relevant knowledge,methods and implementation strategies.This report reviews the translating practice,adopts the framework of “Comprehension,Expression and Adaption” proposed by Li Changshuan,analyzes the problems and solutions encountered in practice,and summarizes the experience and room for improvement.The full text is divided into four parts.The first chapter is a brief introduction to the project,including the background,text analysis and translation process;the second chapter is a brief introduction to the “Comprehension,Expression and Adaption” framework;the third chapter is a case analysis based on this framework.During this process,the first step is to understand,and logical thinking and the Internet resources are two effective paths;in the “expression” stage,the author focuses on analyzing how to achieve accurate expression by selecting appropriate words,using authentic Chinese expressions and rationally adjusting structures;in the “adaption” stage,the translator combines other translation theories to discusses “when to adapt” and “how to adapt”from the two aspects of adaption-“in form and in content”;in Chapter Four the translator summarizes the gains and limitations;moreover,she emphasizes the importance of critical thinking throughout the whole process of translation. |
