A Study Of Main Vocabulary In Shen Jingshu’s Novel 《Please Look After Mom》

Literature refers to a work of art that expresses the thoughts or feelings of the author through language,such as poetry,novel,drama,essay and so on.In order to make literary language give full play to its power as a tool of emotional expression,many linguistic devices such as rhetoric and style must be tightly interwoven.If a writer wants to add artistry to this,he must not only rely on writing skills,but must ensure an aesthetic space from all the worlds in his own life.The story in the novel,the traditional genre of literature,is a mirror reflecting life,which is based on life and reconstructed in the writer’s aesthetic imagination.After all,the understanding of literature is the understanding of life,and the world of literary works is the world of human beings,so literature has brought universal emotion to all mankind.The purpose of this thesis is based on the main words in Shen Jing Shu’s novel,Please Look After Mom.The purpose is to investigate the language characteristics through the general linguistic and statistical analysis methods from the word level and dialect level,so as to study the literary attributes of the works.Literary works—novels have the characteristics of comprehensive description of life and society.Therefore,this study studies what kind of life and society the writer Shen Jing Shu wants to describe through the novel,Please Look After Mom,and the most important thing is that it is necessary to make statistics and analysis of the main words in the work to study the novel’s linguistic proximity.Therefore,the first chapter of the introduction explains the research purpose,research object,previous research and research methods.Based on these empirical statistics,the second chapter makes a systematic analysis of the main lexical features of Please Look After Mom from the word level,based on these empirical statistical materials and centered on high-frequency words.And then the third chapter examines the characteristics of dialect vocabulary,especially the vocabulary of Southwest dialect.Finally,the fourth chapter summarizes the analysis results of this study.
