| In the new era,China’s international status and comprehensive strength have achieved unprecedented growth, and on the whole, good achievements have been made. However,as far as the current international public opinion pattern is concerned,China’s international communication field is still facing severe pressure,in addition to the distortions and misunderstandings of Western hostile forces,it is also an indisputable fact that China’s own strength in the construction of discourse power is also an indisputable fact.In this context, based on the cross-cultural practice of existing domestic media platforms, this study selects “CGTN” as the content analysis, summarizes its operational experience and limitations, and explores the possible path of cross-cultural communication in China in the future. This study explains the value and significance of the study by studying the practical needs of "telling China’s stories well",the necessity of video content for cross-cultural dissemination, and the practical significance of“CGTN”,hoping to use video works to tell Chinese stories well to enhance China’s "soft power" level, and provide bright prospects for China’s future foreign development and international exchanges. This study defines the relevant concepts by discussing the practical dilemma of Chinese media communication to the outside world, the connotation and importance of “telling China’s stories well”,and finds that telling China’s stories well is a yardstick. This study also explores the importance of “CGTN” in cross-cultural communication through two levels:development goals and strategic positioning. This study uses excellent experience of “CGTN” in telling China’s stories well, and analyzes and summarizes the limitations of “CGTN” cross-cultural exchange. At the same time, this study explains the media practice strategies for telling China’s stories well by emphasizing cultural self-confidence,adhering to content characteristics, expanding narrative subjects, respecting communication laws, and innovating communication methods. This research paper argues that in the context of “telling the China’s story well”,China’s international communication needs to spread the core concepts and firm positions in a cross-cultural communication way to achieve good communication results. In short,if China wants to do a good job in external communication today,no matter what kind of communication subject must learn to tell stories, which has both the possibility of realization and,to a large extent, the inevitability. |
