The Ci-tune Gan Huang En has a long history in Chinese literature.With its development,many varieties have been emerging.While other Ci-tunes are under great concern from scholars,Gan Huang En receives less attention.Under such a condition,this paper takes the Ci-tune Gan Huang En in the Tang and Song dynasties as the research object.The first chapter explores the origin of the music of this Ci-tune and summarizes its evolution,using the literature research method.In the 13 th year of Tianbao,Su Mozha of Jin Feng tune was renamed as Gan Huang En,which became the music of the Ci-tune Gan Huang En in the Tang Dynasty.Through the Five Dynasties,the music of the Ci-tune Gan Huang En changed,resulting in a new name Xiao Chongshan.In the early Song Dynasty,the music of the Ci-tune Gan Huang En in the Tang Dynasty lost.Therefore,later generations created a new music according to the lyrics of Xiao Chongshan in the Five Dynasties,and continued to compose lyrics.And another new Ci-tune inherited the original name of Gan Huang En.By the middle and late Northern Song Dynasty,people gradually no longer knew the relationship between the Gan Huang En and Xiao Chongshan.So,the two Ci-tunes parted away.The second chapter investigates the form,structure and style of the Ci-tune in the methods of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis.The structure of Ci-tune Gan Huang En in the Tang Dynasty has 58 words,with the sentence pattern of the upper part 753735 and the sentence pattern of the next part 553735.Its overall structure presents the beauty of ups and downs.And it gives people complex feelings such as cheerfulness and melancholy.Also,there are many different styles of the Ci-tune Gan Huang En in the Song Dynasty.The most commonly used style has 67 characters,with the sentence pattern of the upper part 5474653,and the sentence pattern of the next part 4474653.Its overall structure is more graceful,which gives people a sense of obscurity as well as other feelings like powerfulness and softness and so on.The composition of these two Ci-tunes in the Tang and Song Dynasties not only follow the general rules,but also have their own characteristics.The third chapter studies the process of the creation of Gan Huang En,identifies its characteristics in different historical stages.The creation of the two tunes showed different features in different periods.First,from the Tang and Five Dynasties to the middle of the Northern Song Dynasty,the Ci-tune Gan Huang En in the Tang Dynasty experienced great changes,having abundant forms.Secondly,in the middle and late Northern Song Dynasty,the new Ci-tune Gan Huang En in the Song Dynasty appeared,spreading widely,containing rich themes and forming a mature literature genre.Thirdly,during the war period in the Song Dynasties(Nandu period),Gan Huang En showed a series of emotions brought by the war,and expanded many new themes.Finally,in the Southern Song Dynasty,the number of literature works named Gan Huang En reached the highest.However,on the whole,the theme types of Gan Huang En were limited,and the driven force for its development was insufficient.
