A Practical Exploration Of Urban Children’s Fine Drawings

Urban Children’s Fine Drawing has a distinctive contemporary theme,and is an expression of the realities of urban life,ways and ideas,as well as a borrowing,integration and sublimation of Western painting ideas.In this study,the ’urban children’s theme’ was used as an entry point,and the causes of urban children’s fine drawings,the language of artistic expression,the characteristics of artistic expression in its own practice,and its implied relevance were studied.In this way,the contemporary development of this subject matter was sorted out and summarised,and the new outlook of urban children’s fine drawings in contemporary development was presented,thus clarifying that urban children’s work on brush painting has made a new breakthrough compared to traditional ones,and providing ideas and directions for its own creation.In the combination of the available literature,the creative practice of urban children’s fine drawing was analysed.Firstly,the concepts of ’urban’ and ’children’ were defined,the period of the study was identified,and the reasons for its formation in the context of the times were analysed.Secondly,through the combination of the works and the artist’s experience,the inheritance and development of artistic creation and painting concepts in urban children’s fine drawings were analysed,so as to explore the artist’s subconscious pursuit of the child’s heart.Finally,on the basis of a consideration of the current state of urban children’s fine drawings,a realistic approach was adopted to explore the childishness and beauty of the realities and dreams in the paintings,and to analyse the relevance of their existence.Expressive techniques such as figurative modelling,flat composition and decorative color were applied to fully express the content and characteristics of the new era and to create the bustle and splendor of the urban environment.In the artist’s brushwork,the children’s figures are more intangible in their emotional pursuits,being used as a way of pursuing a pure and natural attitude to life and expressing a desire for freedom and a return to their true nature.The urban children’s fine drawing,while continuing the tradition of the infant scene,has expanded the expression of the content of the picture and the presentation of the artistic form with a contemporary twist.It can not only provide new directions and reference materials for future research by scholars on urban children’s themes,but also inspire new understanding and re-creation of children’s themes by art creators.
