| The discussion of freedom in labor and its limit has important practical and theoretical significance. From the practical point of view, people are often distressed by the restrictions of labor on human freedom, such as the existence of various restrictions in labor, labor monotonous and so on.From the theoretical point of view, people discuss the relationship between labor and freedom mostly from the overall and macro point of view, but pay insufficient attention to the freedom in labor. In this regard, the study of freedom in labor and its limits can,on the one hand, provide a direction for the expansion of human freedom in reality, and on the other hand, enrich people’s understanding of the relationship between labor and freedom.Based on Marx’s social structure theory, this paper analyzes the freedom in labor and its limits from three aspects: productive forces, relations of production and superstructure. The thesis consists of three parts:The first part(Chapter 1)emphasizes that freedom in labor is an important dimension of human freedom.Starting from the close connection between freedom and the concrete activities of real people, this paper analyzes the prominent position of labor in the activities of real people,so as to highlight the key role that the expansion of freedom in labor plays in the realization of human freedom. The second part(chapter 2-4)is a systematic analysis of freedom in labor and its limits based on Marx’s theory of social structure. This part analyzes freedom and its limits in labor from three aspects: production process, production relations and superstructure. From the perspective of production process, human freedom in labor is mainly limited by the change of means of production and the difference of production organization; From the perspective of production relations, people’s freedom in labor is mainly limited by the change of ownership form of means of production, the different status of people in production and the diversity of product distribution. From the perspective of superstructure, people’s freedom in labor is mainly limited by the degree of adaptation of political superstructure and conceptual superstructure to social development. The third part(chapter 5)is based on the analysis of the second part of the extension of the basic direction of freedom in labor: scientific and technological progress to promote the development of productive forces, break through the production process of human freedom in labor; To change social relations with scientific theories and break through the restriction of production relations on the freedom of people in labor;Constantly emancipate the mind, through the adjustment of thought and system, break through the restrictions of the superstructure on the freedom of people in labor. In short, freedom in labor is a dimension of human freedom that cannot be ignored. The freedom of men in Labour is limited, but it is not indestructible.Using Marx’s theory of social structure,we can make a systematic analysis of these limitations and point out the direction of breakthrough. |
