The Study About The Relationship Between Fact And Value From The Perspective Of Marxist Philosophy

The study of Marx’s position on the question of the link between fact and value is a fundamental question concerning the existence and development of Marxist philosophy of value.First of all,by sorting out the negative and affirmative answers to Hume’s Problem,this paper argues for the difficulty of answering this question logically,and thus elaborates that both are dialectically unified from the perspective of the empirical world and based on Marx’s practical perspective.Further,this paper reorganizes and analyses Marx’s concept of "fact" and "value" and defines them as follows: fact is the product of practical activity and value is the practical activity itself,therefore,Marx’s The practice of "material life" therefore bridges facts and values.At the same time,the "two scales" of practical activity imply both value facts and factual values.In this sense,Marx’s argument for the link of fact and value is demonstrated.And once again,this paper analyzes the unity of fact and value in Marx’s theory of human emancipation: firstly,Marx examines the essence of man from the "real man",reflecting the unity of man as a fact and value being;secondly,the fact restricts the realization of value,i.e.the relationship of private ownership as a social relationship restricts the realization of man’s essence,manifesting itself in the alienation of human labor,which separates the fact and value being of man;thirdly,value is realized in practical activity,through the transformation of social relations,i.e.the communist movement,to realize the goal of human emancipation as an individual value,while the realization of communism as a social value goal also depends on the transformation of social relations,including the general growth of productivity,widespread contacts in the world,the revolution of the proletariat and the creation of a "true community" of mankind,manifesting the unity of value and truth.Lastly,the unification of facts and values in Marx’s philosophy has important theoretical significance: firstly,it is conducive to our understanding of the internal logic of Marx’s shift from philosophical criticism to political and economic criticism;secondly,it demonstrates Marx’s Axiological position,which has significance for the development of Marxist value philosophy;thirdly,it is conducive to our getting of the transcendental of the "common values of all mankind" proposed by Comrade Xi Jinping under the guidance of Marxism over the "universal values" proposed by European and American countries,and it is important for enhancing cultural self-awareness and cultural self-confidence,as well as resisting the invasion of "universal values" into our values.
