| In recent years,translator subjectivity has become a hot topic in translation studies.Many scholars have conducted in-depth discussion on it from various aspects and basically established the subject position of the translator.In the whole process of translation,the translator plays a key role in the selection of the text,the interpretation of the source text,the construction of the translation,and the representation of the text style.Therefore,the concept of "translator subjectivity" has been paid more and more attention.With the rapid development of the information age,translation has changed from the traditional way to the modern way.Yet without the help of translators,machine translation today still cannot produce high-quality translations.This means that the output of translation work must be edited and proofread by translators to correct errors and improve translation quality.In this process,the translator’s subjectivity has been very specific embodiment.In my opinion,in the process of machine translation,the translator is still the main body,and the machine only plays an auxiliary role.Therefore,this topic is selected to make machine translation better serve translators and improve the quality of translation.From the perspective of translator’s subjectivity,this paper uses descriptive research methods to compare and analyze the translated text produced by machine translation and the revised one,and demonstrates the important role of translator’s subjectivity in machine translation from two main aspects,namely the embodiment of translator’s subjectivity at the lexical level and the embodiment of translator’s subjectivity at the sentence level.After analyzing the text,I find that translation is not a simple conversion between two languages,but involves the translator’s independent creation as well as the overall control of the translation.In the process of translating scientific and technological texts,we should not simply rely on machine translation,but give full play to the subjective initiative of translators to accurately and appropriately translate the information in scientific and technological texts. |
