A Report On The Translation Of Wall Drug Store Employee Handbook

The author chose to translate the Wall employee handbook and used the framework of “Comprehension,Expression,Adaptation” as proposed by Mr.Li Changshuan in How to Write a Translation Practice Report to analyze how translators can be comfortable with areas in which they do not excel.The report includes four chapters.The first chapter introduces the translation activity,including the background to the translation activity and the translation process.Chapter two is an analytical framework.This report mainly uses the new framework of“Comprehension,Expression,and Adaptation,” innovated by Mr.Li Changshuan.And this report also emphasizes the importance of Critical Thinking while including the relevant translation theories of other experts and scholars.The third chapter is a case study.Typical problems encountered in the author’s translation process of the employee handbook are listed from the three aspects: comprehension,expression,and adaptation,and corresponding solutions are proposed.Chapter four is the conclusion,which summarises the gains of this translation practice,mainly including translation skills and translation speed and efficiency.In addition,there are other aspects of experience,including developing patience,making the best use of resources to consult professionals,and the importance of physical exercise.
