Since China put forward the Belt and Road Initiative in 2013,many opportunities for economic development have emerged.A large number of Chinese companies have "gone global",while a large number of foreign companies have "come in".The number of wholly owned enterprises and joint ventures at home and abroad has increased.More and more foreigners are also choosing to live and work in China.In the process of international exchanges and cooperation,they have a growing demand for Chinese learning,especially in work,and business Chinese also develops.In business activities,"invitation" is a common behavior,whether in the same company or between different companies,as a leader or ordinary staff,to communicate.Appropriately expressing and applying the "invitation" function is the content that Chinese learners should master to become high-level businessmen.In this study,literature research method,statistical analysis method and comparative analysis method were adopted to collate and investigate the corpus of "invitation" function items in three sets of business Chinese textbooks,namely "Introduction to Business Chinese","Winning in China · Business Chinese Series Course"(hereinafter referred to as "Winning in China")and "General Chinese for International Career",and discuss and analyze them.It is found that the components of "invitation" functional items are composed of core components,auxiliary components,additional components and response components."invitation" function items can be classified by content;Classified according to usage strategy;Classified according to emotional attitude;Classification according to expression pattern;Classification according to stylistic form.After a statistical analysis of the three sets of business Chinese textbooks,it is concluded that the three sets of textbooks basically meet the teaching needs of the syllabus for the "invitation" functional items,but there are different characteristics in each specific volume of textbooks,which are mainly reflected in the text and exercise part.Based on the above findings,the following suggestions are put forward,such as arranging "invitation" functions in different sections;Optional introduction to the invitation;Strengthen the "invitation" function in the practice of replacing and linking words into sentences;Design "invitation" situations that can be substituted into the character for dialogue practice;Pay attention to the position of polite language in the "invitation" function.And some suggestions on teaching are put forward.
