Intertemporal selection is a process in which individuals weigh the costs, outcomes and benefits at different time points, and then make judgments and choices. In daily life, the individual in the decision-making is mixed with the time fastidious. As emotion has gradually become a hot topic in the field of decision-making,more and more scholars begin to pay attention to the effect of emotion on intertemporal choice.According to the framework theory of Evaluation Tendency(ATF),uncertainty is the core evaluation subject of Fear Emotion, and the evaluation tendency of "uncertainty" caused by it can strengthen the uncertainty of individual decision-making,in the process of intertemporal selection, the future time return is uncertain. In addition, anger is strongly associated with a sense of certainty and control.Previous studies have shown that fear tends to receive smaller immediate rewards, while anger tends to receive larger delayed rewards. The result is contradicted with the theory of ATF.In addition, the angry individual decision-making,to a large extent, can attract individual attention, interference with decision-making thinking and self-control,resulting in self-depletion.Self-depletion is a special angle of view in the study of self-control.It refers to the loss caused by the temporary lack of self-control resources.Self-depletion occwhen individuals make intertemporal selection,so self-depletion plays an important role in intertemporal selection. In order to avoid the recovery effect of positive emotion on self-depletion,this study focuses on negative emotion and takes fear and anger as typical decision-making c Objective: to explore the effects of fear, anger and ego depletion on intertemporal choice. The negative emotional anger and fear were activated by personal experience recall, the self-depletion task was adapted to the classic Stroop task, and the dependent variable was the intertemporal selection task adapted to the classic delay-discounting paradigm. Methods: 96 college students were recruited from Hebei province and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. In the CO of the experiment, the invalid experimental data are rejected,in the end,83 college students(38 in the fear group,45 in the anger group,40 in the high loss group,43 in the low loss group, and 28 in men and 55 in women, with an average age of 21.07)completed the experiment. The study was designed using 2(negative emotion:fear/anger group)× 2(ego depletion: high ego depletion/low ego depletion)× 4(delay time: 7 Days/30 days/60 days/180 days).Among them, negative emotion and self-loss were the intertest design, and the delay time was the intra-test design. The dependent variable is the delay discount rate K of intertemporal choice. The analysis found:1.Negative emotion has statistical significance in the delay discount rate of 7 days,30 days,60 days and 180 days. The delay discount rate of fear emotion is significantly higher than that of anger emotion.Fear is more likely to choose immediate, smaller rewards than anger.2.There was no significant difference in the self-loss group, and the high loss group was higher than the low loss group.Compared to the low-loss state.High-loss individuals are more likely to have immediate, smaller rewards.3.The main effect of the delay time is very significant, the discount rate of 180 days delay < 60 days delay < 7 days delay < 30 days delay.4.The interaction between negative emotion and self-depletion was significant at7 days,30 days,60 days and 180 days. The high loss group was higher than the low loss group under the condition of anger, and the high loss group was lower than the low loss group under the condition of fear.Anger was significantly higher than fear in high loss condition, and anger was higher than fear in low loss condition. The findings are as follows:1.The main effect of college students’ negative emotion on the delayed discount rate is significant.2.The main effect of delay time on delay discount rate is statistically different.3.There were statistical differences in the interaction between negative emotion and self-loss.
