Exploration And Practice Research On The Material Language Of Contemporary Watercolor Painting

Material is the material carrier of art language expression.Exploration and discovery of material language of contemporary watercolor painting can broaden the expression space of watercolor painting,enhance the expressiveness and infctivity of works,and provide more possibilities for artists’ creation.Therefore,the first question to consider is how to break through the limitations of traditional materials on the basis of traditional watercolor painting,and how to effectively apply the materials to the creation of watercolor painting.The author takes the "material language of watercolor painting" as the object of study.While fully combining the development history of watercolor painting at home and abroad,the author analyzes the successful cases of excellent watercolor painters in the exploration and practice of material language,and discusses the author’s exploration and practice in watercolor material.Through summarizing,analyzing and concluding,a relatively systematic research result is formed,aiming to provide reference and reference for other watercolor painting enthusiasts in the process of watercolor painting creation.At the same time,it is intended to serve as a reference for other watercolor painters in the process of creating watercolor paintings.The thesis is divided into four parts as follows.The introductory section introduces the basis of topic selection,the current status of domestic and international research,the purpose and significance of the study,as well as the main content framework,research methods,innovations and difficulties,and sets the stage for the main text.In the second part,the production and development of watercolor painting in China and the West are reviewed in detail,and the limitations of the material language of traditional watercolor painting and the necessity of exploring the material language of watercolor painting are analyzed.The third part,discussing the expression of material language in contemporary watercolor painting,systematically elaborates the exploration and practice of watercolor painting materials and techniques,and analyzes the works of representative watercolor painters.The expansion of watercolor painting materials is divided into substrate-type materials and tool-type materials,and new methods of watercolor painting material expansion are summarized: the method of making substrate,collage and hybrid method.At the same time,the author puts forward his own views on the exploration and practice of material language in watercolor painting,arguing that in the exploration of material language,watercolor painters should not ignore the importance of modeling,should pay attention to the innovation of artistic concepts and the inheritance of national culture,and the works should reflect the spirit of the times.The fourth part discusses the author’s exploration and practical perceptions of the material language of watercolor painting.Finally,the research results are formed.
