Abstract/Summary:
At present,China has entered a new era of socialism.In the new environment,China continues to make progress in the development path,theory,system and culture,and actively expands the channels of friendly exchanges with foreign countries in an all-round way.The education of overseas students has become an important way for China to show its friendly diplomacy and cultural soft power.On education,the construction of education powers has been on the agenda,the international education as an important part of power transformation of education in our country,students training quality will influence the overall level of China’s education,accelerate the overall education,students develop multi-level and high quality,strong business capability and support China’s development road of a new generation of students become the strategic target of training international talents in our country.As the third largest destination country for international students,how to promote the comprehensive development of international students and cultivate international youth who understand Chinese culture,support the community with a shared future for mankind and serve the "Belt and Road" has become a key task in the transformation of international students’ education.Service learning is rising in the second half of the 20 th century in the United States a kind of new education idea,can the social service activities and academic course together,can be in a planned way purposefully leave students in the present society and through a series of social service activities related to professional knowledge to improve participants’ ability and comprehensive quality,Through social service activities,students can transform theoretical knowledge into concrete experience,which helps students to accelerate the absorption of knowledge.Service learning also plays a positive role in improving students’ civic literacy,moral awareness and social responsibility.The integration of service learning and Chinese education for overseas students is not only beneficial to their learning and growth,but also conducive to stimulating their comprehensive quality and sense of responsibility.In many countries,service learning has increasingly become an indispensable part of higher education,and its research has been carried out in various fields.However,at present,service learning is still in the exploratory stage in Chinese mainland,and most of the research on service learning remains in the development of social work,ideological and moral construction or civic responsibility.However,service-oriented learning is still in its infancy in promoting language learning,especially in the study of Chinese education for international students,which needs to further expand the scope of service-oriented learning in the discipline.In the context of the transformation and development needs of China’s higher international education,considering the current problems and dilemmas in Chinese education for foreign students,the content mainly focuses on utilizing the advantages of service learning itself and the advantages revealed in discipline teaching,through the integration of service learning and discipline knowledge.To help international students improve their comprehensive language application ability,professional skills and social experience;By means of practical teaching,international students are further familiar with Chinese history,geography,society and other basic knowledge of China’s national conditions and culture,so that international students can deeply grasp China’s social and cultural background,eliminate cross-cultural barriers,and promote their comprehensive quality development in an all-round way.This paper mainly through the literature method,induction method and comparative analysis,sorting out the concept and theoretical basis of service learning,and through previous studies on the application of service learning in discipline education,summed up its advantages as a teaching concept and teaching method.According to the current situation of Chinese language education for foreign students in China and the problems in Chinese language learning for foreign students in China,the necessity of integrating service learning with Chinese language education for foreign students is analyzed.Chinese education for international students is the foundation and guarantee of international talent cultivation in China.According to the training requirements and objectives of international students’ education in the new era and the current education needs of international students,this paper discusses and plans the service learning curriculum construction from the aspects of professional ability,cultural construction and overseas learning demand.The paper also discusses the organizational form of curriculum development.To truly integrate service learning into the Curriculum of Chinese education for international students,it needs joint efforts from the government,the society and the school.Therefore,in order to better promote the pace of service learning in the education of international students,corresponding improvement suggestions are put forward in the environment construction,overall development planning and development direction of service learning.As a flexible and inclusive way of practical learning,service learning enriches the Chinese education methods for foreign students,expands the learning approaches for foreign students,contributes to the super-conreserved development of foreign students’ education,and reserves high-quality human resources for China’s social construction in the new era.
