The Application Of Korean Music Elements In The Contemporary Piano Work "Feast Music

Piano works based on Korean music elements are not a few in contemporary Chinese piano music creation.Quan Jihao’s piano solo "Banquet Music"(1987)is one of them.Quan Jihao,a Korean composer,used piano language to express the unique style of Korean music and express his love for the ethnic group.In the work"Banquet Music",the ethnic elements are integrated with the western composition techniques,and various different musical elements such as the unique rhythm,melody,and instrumental sound of the Korean ethnic group are naturally integrated into this work.The unique advantages of the rich piano sound effects are used to amplify the sound characteristics of the Korean traditional instruments to the extreme,which is very rare in piano works.From this perspective,The work"Banquet Music" can be regarded as an excellent example of the perfect application of Korean musical elements in piano works.This article mainly starts from the following three perspectives:First,through the introduction of the composer and his works,I have a preliminary understanding of the work "Banquet Music";Secondly,through the analysis of the structure and harmony ofthe work,as well as the application of the unique "long and short" rhythm,melody,ethnic instruments and other elements in Korean music,the author explains the music creation method of the work;Third,focusing on the performance of "Banquet Music",we should first focus on the interpretation of the level with Korean music elements,and interpret the performance of "Banquet Music" through the aspects of rhythm,melody,and special key touch methods,and then go deep into the work’s micro level to specifically explain the performance skills of the work.Through the above three perspectives,this paper interprets the music creation,performance points,and artistic value of the piano work "Banquet Music",so as to explain the use of Korean music elements in the creation and performance of the work.
