A Study Of The Philosophical Thought Of Abdelkaram Soroush

Abdelkaram Soroush(1945-)is a contemporary Iranian Islamic philosopher and an important figure in the history of the development of Islamic philosophy.The purpose of this paper is to analyze the content of Soroush’s philosophical thought in a modern context,to summarize and grasp the characteristics of his philosophical thought,and to explore its influence on the Islamic world as well as the Western world.First,as a premise of the study,this paper starts from tracing the background and origin of the formation of Sorosh’s philosophical thought,examining his academic growth experience and philosophical works,and sorting out the path of Sorosh’s academic thought,from the awareness of non-systematic philosophical thought before the Iranian Revolution to the historical reasons of the political mission added after the Iranian Revolution,which made Sorosh begin to reflect on religious epistemology,the historical lineage and its Second,the specific contents of Soroush’s philosophical thought are presented.Secondly,the specific contents of Soros’s philosophical thought will be discussed.Starting from the philosophy of religion,Soros proposed the theory of "contraction and expansion of religious knowledge" under the wrapping of the idea of"divine revelation",which challenged the authority of clergy and triggered the reflection on moral philosophy.In his many public speeches,Soroche expressed his thoughts on social morality,hoping to restrain people’s behavior through the definition of morality.His political philosophy theory is an appeal to this era,and it is also the landing point of his philosophical thought.Finally,as a response to the reality,he analyzes the influence of his philosophical thought in the Islamic world and the Western world under the current international situation.The formation of Sorosh’s philosophical thought system is his ideological antidote to the specific problems faced by the society at present,and his thoughts are changing with the changes of history.In his philosophical thought system,the study of Sorosh’s philosophical thought not only helps to understand the historical environment of the time,but also has far-reaching significance for the exploration of Islamic thought resources,the promotion of interreligious dialogue and the development of social transformation.
