| This study analyzes the surface aesthetic form and deep thematic content of Chirico’s works from the perspective of psychoanalysis, and expounds the subsequent influence of the painter, which involves several theoretical elements such as unconsciousness, symbol and semiotics, which play an extremely important role in the analysis of Chirico’s works.By analyzing the representation of the picture, this paper reveals the artistic connotation and spiritual core of Chirico’s works.Existing studies on Chirico mostly focus on the field of art forms. The psychoanalytic method adopted in this study focuses not on the form of art,but on those details that can show unconscious motives and expose repressed contents. Therefore, this study chooses to study Chirico’s works from the perspective of psychoanalysis.Chapter one firstly analyzes Freud’s psychoanalytic theory and its extensive influence in the West in the 20 th century, and expounds how Freud’s psychoanalytic theory extends to the field of art.Through the perspective of psychoanalysis, this paper makes a new interpretation of Chirico’s paintings and finally proves the internal relation between them. The second chapter mainly analyzes the surface forms of Chirico’s works, including the painting language of composition, color, light and shadow. In addition,it also extracts the image symbol elements in the picture by combining the semiotic theory and analyzes the hidden meaning in Chirico’s works by combining the psychoanalytic theory.Through the analysis of the relationship between surface form and psychoanalysis,we can deeply understand the deep connotation of Chirico’s paintings and reveal the creator’s creation psychology.Whether the composition is irrational or the color with a melancholy temperament, the language of these paintings expresses Chirico’s true desire. The third chapter mainly analyzes the deep thematic content of Chirico’s works, including the thematic elements of Chirico’s works, their sources and prototypes.By interpreting the thematic elements in the works, analyzing the symbolism of the thematic elements, and then clarifying the source of the thematic elements and the unconscious driving force behind the prototype of Chirico’s works, and analyzing the theme in combination with the unconscious theory of psychoanalysis. Finally, based on this, the personal emotional factors contained in Chirico’s creative content are summarized. To deepen the academic understanding of Chirico’s works. In a word, from the perspective of psychoanalysis,Chirico expresses his inner emotions beyond reality with concrete things in his works. His works emphasize the expression of self-consciousness and set off waves of the inner spiritual world in the seemingly calm external picture.Chirico used a seemingly reasonable but actually extraordinary painting technique to express his pursuit of the spiritual world, which became the inner root of the great influence of metaphysical art on the school of surrealism. Therefore, this study uses the unique perspective of psychoanalysis, which is not only a reasonable interpretation, but also an innovative interpretation. It is not only helpful to deepen the understanding of the works of art itself, but also to give later artists useful inspiration for painting creation. |
