| Yu Shaosong(1882-1949)was a typical scholar calligrapher in the Republic of China.During the period of the Republic of China,when Chinese and Western cultures collided and blended,Yu Shaosong not only accepted the traditional Confucian education,but also studied abroad.Yu Shaosong has multiple identities.He is not only an official,university professor,local chronicle scholar,calligrapher and painter in the Republic of China,but also a very typical "all-rounder" scholar in modern times.However,in the calligraphy history of the Republic of China written by many calligraphers,Yu Shaosong were not described too much,which made the image of his calligraphy history unclear.By combing Yu Shaosong’s own diary and other relevant historical documents,this paper attempts to construct the context of his research on calligraphy history,calligraphy practice and calligraphy social activities,restore his clear image of calligraphy history,and explore his gains and losses as a typical scholar calligrapher,as well as his enlightenment to contemporary calligraphers.The full text is mainly divided into four chapters.The first chapter introduces Yu Shaosong’s era background and his personal education background,learning path and calligraphy communication,reflecting the era background and personal experience of Yu Shaosong’s calligraphy style and calligraphy thought formation;In the second chapter,through the analysis of Yu Shaosong’s Shousu activities and the editing and publishing of "The Interpretation of Calligraphy and Paintings" and "The Painting and Calligraphy",the author reflects the sense of cultural mission of the orthodox literati in Yu Shaosong,and further analyzes Yu Shaosong’s calligraphy thoughts;The third chapter summarizes the characteristics of Yu Shaosong’s calligraphy creation by analyzing his calligraphy works.At the same time,his personal creation theory and the calligraphy social activities he participated in are discussed;The last chapter analyzes the historical significance of scholar calligraphers and its enlightenment to contemporary calligraphy creation through Yu Shaosong as a typical scholar calligrapher. |
