Following the trend of literature at that time,Ye Lingfeng frequently changed the style of novels,and successively tried to create romantic lyric novels,"revolution+love" novels,"modern novels and popular novels.The theme of his novels is always around the love and sex,focusing on the functional stimulation of the rendering and the creation of the temptation effect,with a strong sensory pleasure color.Therefore,what "changes" in Ye Lingfeng’s novels is only the appearance,but its narrative mode and basic interest are consistent.This and his western aesthetic decadent sensory hedonism and Chinese traditional love porn literature interest,but also influenced by the context of Shanghai consumption culture,Shanghai is capitalist elements rapid proliferation,consumption culture context gradually mature period,Ye Lingfeng novel creation may be on "sell" literati under this for,have to for the result.The change of the creation style of Ye Lingfeng’s novels is more due to following the trend of the literary world and meeting the needs of the cultural consumption market,which also determines Ye Lingfeng’s acceptance of aesthetic decadence to a certain extent.In this paper,combining the spread and development of aesthetic decadence in Shanghai,this paper discusses Ye Lingfeng’s cognition and acceptance of aesthetic decadence,and explores the evolution track of Ye Lingfeng’s novels in combination with the cultural context of Shanghai in the 1920s and 1930s.In addition to the introduction and the conclusion,the paper is mainly divided into four parts:The first chapter clarifies the relationship between Ye Lingfeng and western beauty and decadence.Ye Lingfeng is influenced by aesthetic decadence in art and life.She not only imitates the literary creation of aesthetic decadence,but also pursues the "artistic" way of life advocated by aesthetic decadence.However,Ye Lingfeng’s acceptance of aesthetic decadence is false.On the one hand,in response to the literary trend and the cultural consumption market,he frequently changes the novel writing style;on the other hand,his understanding of western aesthetic decadence is onesided and superficial,ignoring the resistance against authority and secular,but notes the emphasis on caridity,and "rewriting" the aesthetic decadence based on personal literary interest.The second chapter mainly analyzes the characteristics of lyrical and sex novels.Ye Lingfeng’s novel creation is based on the romantic and sentimental love novels as the starting point,gradually to the beautiful and decadent sex novels change.In the May 4th period,the translation of the writers of foreign literature such as romanticism and aesthetic decadence had a certain influence on Ye Lingfeng,and her novels had more foreign flavor.The novels he just entered the literary world are more romantic,romantic and sentimental lyric.Due to Ye Lingfeng’s exploration consciousness of’"seeking new and change" and the influence of the cultural consumption market at that time,the novel creation gradually evolved to aesthetic and decadent.Under the banner of aesthetic and decadent,it advertised "art for art" and openly describes sexual desire in the novel,so as to slide into the appreciation of low taste.The third chapter explores Ye Lingfeng’s "rewriting" of the western aesthetic and decadent literature.With the outbreak of the first Civil Revolutionary War,the rise of Provvenology became a temporary fashion.At the same time,the new feeling school also became a "fashionable" literature in Shanghai in the 1930s.In order to pursue the needs of "fashion" in the literary world and the cultural consumption market.Ye Lingfeng changed the creation style of the early novels and invested in the creation of"revolution+love" novels and new feeling novels.However,this is only a variation in the style of beautiful and decadent sex novels in her early works,because the novel still focuses on the love and sexual love of men and women,but only adds revolutionary factors and modernist factors as the ornament.The fourth chapter analyzes the creation of popular novels with Ye Lingfeng sliding to kitsch.Although Ye Lingfeng emphasize his popular novel is to lead general readers to the new literature and art,but he has been catering to the readers in the actual creation,in the works of lovers can’t die all love story,and he also pay special attention to the plot twists and turns,these are the consumption culture context Ye Lingfeng to cater to the readers reading interest "efforts",to meet the moral expectation of citizens and their traditional appreciation interest,reflects the commercial speculative fiction,make he eventually slipped to the kitsch literature creation.This kind of popular novels also prove from the opposite side that Ye Lingfeng’s acceptance of aesthetic decadence is vain.
