| As the most important thinker in the first half of the 20 th century,Benjamin had a wide range of interests throughout his life,traveling in many urban spaces.His research thoughts involve many fields such as aesthetics,philosophy,linguistics,history,art,etc.It is difficult to have a precise image positioning of him,but the birthplace of his thoughts is always closely related to the capitalist modern city.Benjamin’s urban space research permeates his rich and complicated academic thoughts,and it is difficult for us to separate it independently from other theoretical systems.On the one hand,his interpretation of space is inspired by previous theories,and on the other hand,he has his own unique way of understanding and elaboration.Thoughts such as Jewish mysticism,language philosophy,modern art theory,and Marxism provided sufficient theoretical basis for his critique of modernity.This was the theoretical support for his wandering in urban space and his thinking on modernity,and also formed his unique research.elements of style.Compared with other aesthetes at the same time,Benjamin devoted himself to picking up the fragments of modernity,paying attention to the existence and experience of human beings in space,and combining urban space philosophy with "perceptual cognition".Therefore,this paper mainly interprets and evaluates Benjamin’s space theory from an aesthetic perspective.By examining the urban living space described by Benjamin,focusing on space forces such as power space,visual mechanism,and artistic production,the critique of capitalist modernity is carried out.To explore an effective path to overcome the crisis of capitalist modernity.The full text is mainly divided into four parts: firstly,it discusses the origin of Benjamin’s urban space aesthetics thought from two levels of reality and theory,paving the way for the follow-up ideological construction and theoretical analysis.The second part mainly develops the aesthetic construction of Benjamin’s urban space aesthetics thought from three aspects: the subject in the city,the image analysis of urban space,and the aesthetic experience of space.People are the observers and experiencers in the urban space,they act as the aesthetic subject in Benjamin’s works,telling the urban space from different perspectives.They wandered in the modern space,had a "shocking" experience,and explored the way of redemption of urban aesthetic modernity.The third part mainly starts with the objective art space and the subjective perception space,discovers the revolutionary power contained in it,and highlights the survival picture,modern crisis and its possible path in the sense of space.The last part is the summary.According to Benjamin’s practice of space critique,this article tries to see the living state of people from the space and break the whole with fragments.It provides a unique perspective for the study of postmodern space theory,and broadens the philosophical vision for interpreting human living experience. |
