Investigation Into The Crafting Of Witty Characters In Chinese Minority Animation

In 2023,the State Film Administration issued the 14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Chinese Films,in which it was clearly mentioned to vigorously support ethnic-themed films and television works with distinct regional characteristics,so as to promote the creative transformation and innovative development of the culture of the Chinese nation.The artistic creation of minority-themed animation is not only an important manifestation of ethnic minority literature and art in the new era,but also an indispensable part of the modernization transformation of animation in Chinese style.In the folk literature of ethnic minorities,the witty characters show the extraordinary ability of understanding and thinking,and show the humanistic spirit of ethnic minorities and the will of ethnic unity.This kind of wise image is more suitable for animation creation because of its rich story materials,wide audience and obvious advantages in cross-media development.Ethnic minority animation plays an important role in spreading ethnic minority aesthetic thoughts and cultural spirit.The witty characters in the cartoon characters show unique aesthetic value and cultural connotation.Therefore,this topic takes the excellent folk culture of ethnic minorities as the starting point,selects Tibetan Agutunba,Mongolian Balagencang and Uyghur Avanti as the main research objects,and discusses the creation of the wise man image in ethnic animation-themed cartoons from the perspective of animation art creation:(1)Based on relevant historical documents and previous research basis,longitudinal study of the development of witty characters and derivative stories.The cultural connotation of promoting ethnic unity,showing ethnic wisdom and revealing social reality hidden behind the witty characters is discussed.The witty characters show the characteristics of rich and colorful story materials,wide audience groups,and obvious advantages of cross-media development,which are in line with animation creation.(2)Research on artistic creation of witty characters of different ethnic groups in Chinese animation by horizontal comparison.The signified system and signifier system of role building are analyzed theoretically from the semiotic perspective.This paper selects classic cases to discuss the artistic shaping techniques of witty characters from the aspects of image shaping,character display,role connotation and so on,focusing on highlighting the personality of ethnic minorities in the shaping of witty characters.(3)The comparison and enlightenment of witty characters in artistic shaping.This paper summarizes the artistic shaping of witty characters by different ethnic minorities,and puts forward some inspirations on the shaping of witty cartoon characters from the aspects of taking root in local culture,enabling digital innovation and exploring the development coefficient.In order to develop more interesting characters in ethnic animation,explore the feasibility and development of role shaping.To sum up,on the one hand,this topic responds to the call of the country,takes animation as the media support,actively promotes the common genetic culture among various ethnic minorities in China,and enhances the cross-regional,cross-ethnic and cross-cultural ethnic identity and cohesion.On the other hand,it conforms to the trend of globalization and takes the cultural treasures of China’s ethnic minorities as the source of animation creation,thus helping Chinese animation to "go to sea" and continuously sending out the charm of China in the future world animation art stage.
