In the epidemic era,workers begin to shift their way of working to choose WFH(work from home),which has brought new opportunities for urban development.The source text of this translation report is excerpted from Chapter 5 “Opportunities for Other Areas” of Going Remote: How the Flexible Work Economy Can Improve Our Lives and Our Cities,a non-literary and economic work,which focuses on introducing opportunities and challenges brought by the rise of WFH to the social development of America and describing the development pattern of urban cities in the post-epidemic era.Aiming at word,sentence and context differences between Chinese and English,under the guidance of skopos theory,the translator in this report adopts unit conversion,sentence pattern conversion as well as demonstrative reference methods to address the translation difficulties to improve the accuracy and readability of the translation.In the end,translation thinking is presented in the report in the form of case analysis to offer some references to those who translate similar text translation.
