A Study Of V+NP₁+NP₂ Structure And Argument Augmentation In Modern Chinese

"V+NP₁+NP₂"is a kind of structure that is frequently used in modern Chinese,and has always been a popular research topic in academic circles.This paper intends to explore the type and generation of"V+NP₁+NP₂"structure on the basis of previous studies,and tries to find out the generation mechanism and motivation of this structure.The generation of"V+NP₁+NP₂"argument structure is not determined by the verb or structure unilaterally,but is the result of the interaction of syntax,semantics and other aspects.The first chapter is the introduction,which describes the origin and significance of the research,the research status,the research methods and the source of the corpus.The second chapter discusses the definition standard of incremental structure and the type of"V+NP₁+NP₂"structure.According to the criterion of whether"V+NP₁+NP₂"structure can be decomposed into two verb-object structures,we divide the structure into three categories:strong decomposition structure,sub-strong decomposition structure and weak decomposition structure.The third chapter explores the characteristics of"V+NP₁+NP₂"structure from three aspects of argument augmentation,syntax and semantics.First of all,from the perspective of increment,it is clear that"placement"and"deception"in strong decomposition structure,sub-strong decomposition structure and"feeling"and"touch"in weak decomposition structure are increment structures.Secondly,syntactically,the syntactic characteristics of the"V+NP₁+NP₂"structure from the perspective of whether to add"给""掉""走""得""在"and"是"after the verb.The V of the structure is composed of V₁+V₂.Because the predicate is implicit,V₁ appears on the surface of the structure,while the implicit expression of V₂ has uncertainty.Finally,the semantic characteristics of various types of"V+NP₁+NP₂"structure are analyzed semantically from four aspects:the semantic characteristics of V₁ and V₂,the relevance of NP₁ and NP₂,and the semantic characteristics of the whole structure.The fourth chapter explores the factors that affect the formation of the component from the two aspects of the component and the structure as a whole.The influence of the constituent includes the compulsion of the quantifier,the selectivity of"了"and the control of the verb.Finally,this paper determines that the generation mechanism of"V+NP₁+NP₂"structure includes four types:superimposed lifting,structural permission,priority lifting and structural coercion;The generation of strong decomposition structure,sub-strong decomposition structure and weak decomposition structure is affected by syntax and semantics respectively.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,which summarizes the research results of this paper.The formation of"V+NP₁+NP₂"structure is the result of the interaction of various mechanisms.
