Research On The Moral Problems Of Group Polarization In Cyberspace

While the Internet enables more people to gather quickly and conveniently,it also creates a lot of public moral issues.It has positive side,but its negative side should not be ignored.The theory of group polarization in psychology provides a brand new perspective for moral construction in cyberspace,which enables us to discuss in depth how group emotion in network communication makes Internet public opinion deviate from emotion leading to moral kidnapping and even network violence.In the period of social transformation,the traditional moral evaluation system lags behind,and the new moral order is being formed,the Internet public opinion has intensified the conflict between the old and new moral evaluation system.Individuals tend to blindly follow the crowd when making moral choices.Due to their sense of belonging to the group,as well as the "self-declaration effect" and "moral signal function" in others’ evaluation,individuals’ irrational identification with online groups is deepened.Due to the fragmentation of digital subjects,the uncertainty of Internet communication has been aggravated,and the relevant legal norms have not been perfected.Morality,with its strong social identity and function,has become the primary choice for Internet users to safeguard their own interests and safety,and has increasingly become the "unique and absolute" judgment standard.Under the influence of group polarization,"morality" becomes a tool to persecute "morality".In order to eliminate the influence of group polarization in network public opinion,we should realize the "separation" between ourselves and the group at the appropriate time,break free from the sinking of "conformity" and call back the voice of our own conscience,which is a self-self-discipline process.In the process of social renewal,only the more self-disciplined individuals can break the rigid norms of social values and achieve self-perfection while bringing about social self-perfection.This requires the joint efforts of individuals,society and the country.The theoretical content of strengthening the moral construction of cyberspace is the enrichment of Marxist ideological theory,but also the practice of the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
