Analysis On The Creation Of Orchestral Music "Catching Up With Autumn"

The orchestral music "catch autumn" was created in the author’s graduate school stage.The work takes the music material of Miao ethnic group in Western Hunan as the core and uses the expression form of western orchestra to show the grand festival of Miao people-catch Autumn Festival.The works of the Miao ethnic group,which are not afraid of changes,describe the three scenes of the Miao ethnic group’s life-long love,and dare to catch up with the changes of the Miao people’s life.The main body of the article is divided into three parts.The first part expounds the performance content,theme conception and regional style shaping of the work,so as to ensure that the content guides the direction of the form.The second part analyzes the forms of expression of the works,including musical structure,harmony,polyphony,orchestration and so on.The third part analyzes the work combined with music score examples and audio waveform,discusses the content,music image and the connection between the front and back paragraphs of each part of the work,and expounds the relationship between content and form.Through the creation analysis of the orchestral music "catching up with autumn",the author reflects and summarizes the creation process of the work,and has a deeper understanding of the Miao folk music and its cultural value in Western Hunan.How we should protect,inherit and develop this intangible cultural heritage may require composers to create more and better music works,push through the old and bring forth the new,and more artists to dig deeply,so as to revive China’s ethnic folk music and enhance cultural self-confidence.
