A Study On Zhao Nanzhu's Feminist Novel

The novel "Jin Zhiying Born in 1982" focuses on the growth experience of the protagonist Jin Zhiying,and describes the life experiences of Jin Zhiying and other women around her."Her Name Is" is a work of the same type as Jin Zhiying’s.However,compared to describing women’s experiences,this novel also contains some examples of active living and striving for women’s rights.Based on these two novels,this paper analyzes the similar parts in the two novels,and supplements the research results related to the content of "Jin Zhiying Born in 1982".At the same time,hope to play a preliminary role in the study of Zhao Nanzhu’s other literary work "Her Name Is" and contribute to the study of Zhao Nanzhu’s works.The main body is divided into three chapters.From the perspective of patriarchy,the first chapter analyzes the patriarchal ideology and fixed gender roles in patriarchal culture.On the one hand,it can gain a certain understanding of patriarchy,and on the other hand,it can observe the experiences of contemporary Korean women under patriarchy.The second chapter analyzes from three aspects: the resistance to male power,the mutual assistance and maintenance between women,and the voice of safeguarding rights and interests,and discusses the female consciousness and presentation in the two novels.The third chapter analyzes the social issues in the novel from a feminist perspective,starting from three aspects: traditional stereotypes and realistic prejudices against women,sexual harassment issues,and women’s employment issues.It is understood that the fundamental reasons for society’s aversion to women are the patriarchal ideology of male superiority and female inferiority,and the division of gender roles between men and women.Through the analysis of social issues,we can learn about the current social phenomenon of discrimination against and aversion to women in Korean society,as well as the problem consciousness of the writer Zhao Nanzhu who pays attention to women.
