Research On The Artistic Creation Of Wang Yumin,a Local Anime Artist In Shaanxi Province

In August 2022,the General Office of the General Office of the Chinese Communist Party and the General Office of the State Council issued the"Fourteenth Five Year" Cultural Development Plan,which clearly proposed to implement projects such as high-quality development of animation,strengthen support for the creation of online literary and artistic works such as animation,and promote structural adjustment,optimization and upgrading of new cultural formats such as digital animation.This once again reflects the attention and support for the digital animation industry in the current top-level design of national policies.Anime,as a unique form of artistic expression,has become an important way for people to consume culture,promote aesthetic education,promote science and technology,relax and relieve stress in modern life,by interweaving traditional culture and digital technology,creating beautiful artistic images,engaging storylines,engaging media forms,and emotional interpretations that touch the soul.It has also become a "small incision" for the development of distinctive cultural and tourism industries in various cities,forming a new digital economic growth.Xi’an,as the historical and cultural birthplace of the ancient Silk Road and the bridgehead city of the "the Belt and Road" macro initiative,its profound history and folk culture also provide a solid regional advantage and cultural background for local animation creation and industrial upgrading.This project focuses on the development of the local animation industry in Shaanxi in recent years,using the representative character Director Wang Yumin as a case study.Many of its strong "Shaanxi style" anime masterpieces,such as "The Five Elements of Qin Youth" included in the national anime brand protection plan,"The Sun God Tree" won the Chinese National Award at the Hamburg International Animation Competition in Germany,and "The Terracotta Warriors"won the International Honor Award at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France.This article attempts to analyze the connotation of his works on the inheritance of local cultural elements and the reconstruction of traditional IP,the localization causes of his works’ artistic characteristics,and the innovative practice of aesthetic techniques,in order to explore the development path of Shaanxi’s local animation industry:Firstly,the background of director Wang Yumin’s identity.Sorting out his rich growth and entrepreneurial experiences,as the first generation of online flash anime enthusiasts,he was influenced by the culture of his hometown in the western part of China and also took advantage of the rise of internet anime,thus forming his highly personal creative characteristics.To lay the foundation for subsequent research on his anime works and creative style.Secondly,research on Wang Yumin’s anime works and their artistic creations.Based on his anime works,analyze the cultural connotations of his artistic creation,inherit and innovate traditional intangible cultural heritage techniques,excavate and adapt local cultural themes,construct the concept of classic historical and cultural anime IP,combine AR technology and other forms of IP cultural tourism,cultural and creative promotion,and digitize the use of traditional aesthetic techniques such as ink painting and shadow puppetry.Finally,the inspiration of Wang Yumin and the "Flying Bird Model" for the local animation industry.Try to summarize the creation concept of his animation works with local culture as the core,establish the whole industry chain growth mode of the company "Flying Bird Animation",and the experience value of diversified development of original animation brands.In summary,based on the dimension of localized animation creation,analyzing its focus and inheritance on traditional culture,exploration and innovation of local themes,and exploration and practice of aesthetic techniques provide valuable experience for the artistic creation of localized animation;Based on the growth dimension of Shaanxi’s local animation industry,this paper summarizes its original animation IP full industry chain model,constructs a diversified development of Shaanxi’s local animation brands,and provides a vivid reference sample for the vigorous development and virtuous cycle of Shaanxi’s local animation industry in the new era.
