A Study Of Marx’s Religious Thought

Since the reform and opening up,the rapid development of productive forces has improved people’s living standards,yet people’s spiritual life is in a relatively backward position.The contradiction between the progress of material life and the backwardness of spiritual life is a problem we have to face.Religion as an important part of human spiritual life has an increasingly profound influence on people,and the tension between religious superstition and scientific faith prompts us to study Marx’s religious thought.This paper compares the development of Marx’s religious thought by means of literature analysis and theory combined with practice,summarizes the main connotations of Marx’s religious thought,and explains the theoretical and practical values of Marx’s religious thought.The study of Marx’s religious thought contains two parts,which can be specifically divided into the first part of the introduction and the second part of the four main chapters.In the first part of the introduction,the current state of research on Marx’s religious thought is discussed,the research on Marx’s religious thought is collected,classified and evaluated from two directions,domestic and foreign,and the research method and innovation points of this paper are explained.In the second part of the four main chapters,the first chapter mainly analyzes the theoretical origins and practical conditions for the emergence of Marx’s religious thought: in the theoretical aspect,Hegel’s philosophy of religion,the Young Hegelian critique of religion and Feuerbach’s humanistic view of religion all exerted a profound influence on Marx;in the practical aspect,both the Reformation and capitalism prompted the birth of Marx’s religious thought.The second chapter analyzes the historical process of the birth of Marx’s religious thought,which is summarized into three stages: the first stage is the religious thought during Marx’s student period;the second stage is the transformation of Marx’s religious thought from the idealist position to materialism;the third stage is the transformation of the old materialist religious thought to the historical materialist religious thought.The third chapter analyzes the specific content of Marx’s religious thought,which contains four parts: the first is the emergence of religion;the second is the nature of religion;the third is the function of religion;and the fourth is the extinction of religion.The fourth chapter is centered on the theoretical and practical values,indicating the practical significance of the study of Marx’s religious thought.The formation of Marx’s religious thought not only provides the ideological original for China’s theoretical innovation in the field of religion in the new era,but also provides guiding ideology for our party and state to deal with religious issues.
