The Creation And Ecology Aesthetic Analysis Of The Documentary "Where Is Home"

In the rapidly developing modern economy,the material standard of living of residents has been further improved.While material needs are satisfied,people have gradually shifted their attention to spiritual needs.The emergence of household pets undoubtedly adds a lot of color to people’s spiritual life.Pets have gradually become one of the family members and have integrated into urban life.Pets have gradually become one of the family members and have integrated into urban life.However,the phenomenon of pet abandonment,loss,and excessive breeding by pet businesses has led to a surge in the number of stray animals in the city.Currently,the country’s relevant laws for protecting stray animals are still being continuously improved,and it is still impossible to provide comprehensive protection and assistance for stray animals,which leads to the survival problem of stray animals in the city,which is still a problem worth everyone’s attention.The documentary "Where is home" mainly tells the story of enthusiastic residents in the city who spontaneously help and care for stray cats in different ways.By recording the situation of stray cats at different times and places,it reflects the current situation of ecological civilization and harmonious coexistence between urban residents and stray animals in this stage.Through the perspective of Ms.Zhao,Ms.Zhu,and the rescue station administrator Xiao Zhou,the public can feel the perfect integration of stray cats and urbanization and call on people to treat and protect the stray animals around them in their own way,objectively presenting the social ecology of harmonious coexistence between humans and animals.This dissertation conducts theoretical research and practical analysis from three perspectives: director’s exposition,creative analysis,and ecological aesthetics analysis based on the creative practice of the documentary "Where is home".Firstly,the analysis of the subject matter selection,the analysis of the significance of ecological aesthetics research,and the analysis of creative practice in the director’s exposition of the documentary "Where is home" are conducted.Further,the author introduces the research and understanding of the theoretical concepts of animal-themed documentaries and ecological aesthetics as the basis for designing the graduation project.The second part is the creative analysis of the documentary "Where is home",which outlines the narrative style and the use of audio-visual language.The third part focuses on the ecological aesthetic expression and its significance presented in the documentary "Where is home".The fourth part summarizes the experience and shortcomings of the creative practice of the graduation project documentary "Where is home".The aim of this dissertation is to conduct a systematic analysis of the documentary "Where is home" and its creative process,to conduct research and discussion on ecological aesthetics,and to combine theory with practice in the creative process,hoping to arouse people’s attention and protection for stray animals,and form academic thinking,with certain practical significance.
