Vocational education is an important part of the national education system and human resources development.The National Conference on Vocational Education held on April 12,2021 calls for all-out efforts to promote the high-quality development of vocational education.On May 1,2022,the newly revised Vocational Education Law came into effect,providing that vocational education has the same important status as general education.In order to carry out the Implementation Plan of National Vocational Education Reform,further improve the national teaching standard system of vocational education.On December 9,2021,the Ministry of Education and nine other departments issued the "14th Five-Year" Action Plan for the development and Improvement of Preschool Education,which put forward new requirements for the development of preschool education.Preschool education as a national control major is one of the important majors in vocational education.At present,the society has a great demand for kindergarten teachers.The Teaching Standards for Preschool Education in secondary vocational Schools stipulate the curriculum framework,curriculum setting and requirements of this major.Music course,as an important professional course of preschool education,plays an important role in the development of students’ aesthetic ability and professional improvement.The training goal requires that "guided by vocational needs,it should cultivate preschool teachers’ practical ability and comprehensive music accomplishment.The music education ability of preschool teachers directly affects the development of children’s music quality,so the music course of preschool education major is particularly important.However,there are few studies on the music course of preschool education major in secondary vocational schools.As a music teacher majoring in preschool education in secondary vocational schools,the author conducted empirical research on music teaching and music curriculum setting of preschool education major in three local secondary vocational schools through questionnaire survey and interview.The results show that the music teaching effect of preschool education major is not ideal and the matching degree of "learning and application" in employment practice is not high.After the analysis of the current situation of music teaching,comparative research method and questionnaire survey are adopted to investigate the music curriculum of preschool education major in three secondary vocational schools.The results show that there are many common problems in the music curriculum,how to optimize the curriculum so as to better adapt to students’ employment needs is crucial.In the face of the current situation,in order to adapt to the new development of vocational education and strengthen the training of skilled talents,the author combined the results of the survey to put forward suggestions on the music curriculum setting of preschool education major,hoping to improve the effect of music teaching of preschool education major and the practicability of students in employment through further optimization of the curriculum.As a preschool education professional teachers also need to constantly sum up experience in the actual teaching,for the society to cultivate more high-quality early childhood education talents.
