| Yu Dayou(1503-1580)was a hero of the Ming Dynasty’s resistance against Japanese aggression.He came from a family of military generals and was famous for his military achievements throughout his life.At the same time,he was also skilled in writing and poetry,and was proficient in both literature and martial arts.He is now known as the "Complete Collection of Zhengqi Hall".At present,there is a lack of systematic and comprehensive research on Yu Dayou’s poetry and prose.This article studies Yu Dayou’s poetry and prose,analyzes its content and artistic characteristics,and compares it with contemporary generals to gain a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of Yu Day ou’s literary achievements.This article is divided into four chapters in addition to the introduction and conclusion:The first chapter provides a brief overview of Yu Dayou’s life and thoughts.He fought in the north and south throughout his life and achieved remarkable military achievements.Yu Dayou has been impeached and deposed for many times,but he is unswerving.Together with national hero Qi Jiguang,he is called "Yu Long Qi Hu".Yu Dayou was deeply influenced by Confucianism.During the Jiajing period,the Yangming School of Mind prevailed.Yu Dayou had many interactions with representatives of the Wangmen School of thought at the same time,such as Tang Shunzhi,Wang Ji,Yan Jun,Xu Jie,etc.The Yangming School of Mind also influenced his military and literary ideas.The second chapter discusses the content and artistic characteristics of Yu Dayou’s poetry.The content of Yu Dayou’s poetry can be roughly divided into three parts.Firstly,it expresses the oath to eliminate the rebels and cares about the suffering of the people;Secondly,it is a work of paying tribute,singing and answering,reflecting his deep affection for his friends;Thirdly,it is a work of confinement and landscape,expressing the idea of pursuing one’s aspirations without paying off,and achieving success and retiring.The most prominent feature of Yu Dayou’s poetry is its simplicity and strong narrative;The imagery is broad and the poetic style is bold and unrestrained.The third chapter discusses Yu Dayou’s article.Firstly,it discusses the content of Yu Dayou’s article from four aspects:patriotism,military ideology,sincerity towards others,and recording of war events.Secondly,it summarizes the characteristics of Yu Dayou’s article,which records history through literature,provides detailed and accurate discussions,and integrates military and grammar.The fourth chapter mainly compares Yu Dayou’s poetry and prose with the poetry and prose of three military generals of the same period.Through comparison,grasp the similarities and differences in literary creation between Yu Dayou and major military generals of the same period,highlight the uniqueness of Yu Dayou’s poetry and prose,and correctly evaluate his literary achievements.Conclusion:Summarize the paper,point out the literary achievements of Yu Dayou and the military generals of the same period and their position in literary history,explore the reasons why the creative works of Ming Dynasty military generals were not valued by the academic community,and look forward to the prospects of Yu Dayou’s literary research. |
