| Luo Yin was a prominent figure in the literary circle of late Tang Dynasty, he was deeply influenced by Confucianism. He was very ambitious, but his lifetime was full of frustrations. His political aspiration was never be realized. He wrote quite a lot of literary works. There were a large number of poems survived. Historical poems can best reflect his individual thoughts. There are more than 70 historical poems. His creation of historical poems has distinctive characteristics in both content and artistry,which inherited the realistic style of predecessors and led the poetic style of Song Dynasty. Luo Yin has an important position in the literary world of Tang Dynasty. But Luo Yin has not been paid enough attention, the following researchers didn’t give adequate attention to him. This paper will research the best part in Luo Yin’s creation-- historical poems, trying to perfect the research system about Luo yin. This thesis mainly consists of three parts: introduction, content section(five chapters) and conclusion.The first part is an introduction that introduces the motive and ojective of this paper as well as the relevant study of Luo Yin in academic world. This part also introduces the research methods which are used in this paper. The first chapter elaborates the definition of historical poems. Next, the development of historical poems before late Tang Dynasty is briefly analyzed. The second chapter discusses the creation profiles of Luo Yin’s historical poems. The first section explores the external environment, the second section through quantitative analysis of Luo Yin’s historical poems to understand the characteristics of Luo Yin’s historical poems better. The third chapter introduces Luo Yin’s biographic sketch, his lifetime can be divided into three periods, this chapter explores the internal connection of Luo Yin’s life-story and his historical poems further. The fourth chapter interprets Luo Yin’s thought connotation through analysis the content of Luo Yin’s historical poems. This chapter is divided into four parts, there is a one-to-one correspondence between different subject and different topic: the monarch subject mainly embodies Luo Yin’s critical spirit, the scribes subject expresses Luo Yin’s view on fortune, the female subject shows Luo Yin’s complex attitude toward women, Historical relics subject focus on Luo Yin’s hardship consciousness. The fifth chapter discusses the artistic achievements of the creation. This part is divided into three aspects: the superb writing skills, the distinctive personality characteristics and diverse styles. The conclusion part is a summary of this paper, this part gives an objective evaluation for Luo Yin’s historical poems and elaborates the epic significance of Luo Yin’s historical poems. |
