A Study On Abstraction In Contemporary Lacquer Painting

Lacquer painting,as a pure art form,presents diverse trends in modern art.The main characteristics of modern lacquer painting include the subject of creation,the abstraction of lacquer materials and of its painting technique language.The unique artistic language and the inclusiveness of lacquer enable this form of art to possess infinite possibilities.With the rapid development of modern society,artists are shifting their focus from the representation of objective objects to the expression of the spiritual realm,concentrating on abstract paintings that can better convey subjective emotions and inner worlds.Therefore,contemporary lacquer paintings often express the deep spiritual world of the creators through the abstraction of images and structures.The abstraction of visual elements in lacquer painting is often based on two aspects:the language of materials and the painting itself.The unique language of lacquer painting has created a variety of abstract expressions in lacquer painting.This paper studies the expression of abstraction in lacquer painting creation from the aspects of image,structure,symbol,color,formal language,etc.While the techniques of lacquer art enrich its unique language of abstract patterns,building upon the foundation of formal elements such as dots,lines,and surfaces,the excessive emphasis on craftsmanship and technique has limited the development of Chinese lacquer painting.Lacquer painting as a visual medium,modern lacquer painting faces the challenge of balancing its craftsmanship and artistic expression.The paper is divided into three sections.The first part provides an overview of the abstraction in contemporary lacquer painting,clarifies the concept of abstract art and its origins and development process,presents specific examples of abstract expression in lacquer painting,and outlines the artistic manifestations and common techniques of abstract expression.This section leads to the exploration of the artistic features of abstract concepts in the Family series of works.The second section discusses the emotional expression in the creation of the Family series and the selection of characters as the creative subject.It analyzes the application of expression through the language of lacquer painting and other formal elements in the Family series.Finally,from the perspectives of the creators and viewers,the section analyzes the emotional expression of abstraction content,explores the deep abstraction of the content in the language of lacquer painting,and seeks the organic integration of the complexity of lacquer painting language and the refinement of abstract formal language.
