The Exploration Of Pottery Creation Of Reduced State Series From The Perspective Of Wabi-Sabi Aesthetics

Wabi-sabi aesthetics,as the core of the traditional Japanese aesthetic concept,represents a simple,elegant,simple and natural attitude towards life.This Oriental aesthetic with profound artistic conception has been widely spread throughout the world,and also has a profound impact on the development of modern ceramic art.It is more inclined to the natural aesthetic feelings revealed in pottery works.The beauty of traces through subtle imperfection.Under the influence of wabi-sabi aesthetics,the form of pottery creation takes a back place.Artists often turn their attention to the authentic expression of the inner spiritual world,filling the inner world as much as possible,so as to make the form as concise,simplified and pure as possible,so as to enter the realm of emptiness of poetic Zen.This topic focuses on wabi-sabi aesthetics and modern pottery.The structure of the discussion consists of three parts: theoretical overview,case analysis and creative practice.The first part of the theoretical overview starts from the theoretical connotation of wabi-sabi,analyzes the original aesthetic consciousness of wabi-sabi following the "wabi-ai";Secondly,the concept and implication of wabi-sabi and Sabi and the concept of wabi-sabi as aesthetics are further expounded.Thirdly,I summarize the aesthetic meaning of wabi-sabi,which refers to the worship ritual of obscurity and imperfection,the attitude of accepting the passage of time and the laws of nature,and the atmosphere of entering into the emptiness of poetic Zen.The case analysis of the second part focuses on the aesthetic expression of wabi-sabi aesthetics in modern pottery,mainly from three aspects of conforming natural beauty,disordered sense of disability and unexpected contingency combined with pottery works to demonstrate.The third part is the author’s pottery creation practice report,with personal graduation design production as the main line,elaborated the pottery creation process under the guidance of wabi-sabi aesthetic thought.
